GIGS: 1. Abbreviation for gigabytes (plural). Normally used in the context of expressing that space or transfer is large and many gigabytes worth.; 2. Abbreviation for gigahertz. Normally used in the context of multiple gigahertz, such as when expressing the clock speed of a cpu.
