Gigabyte

Gigabyte

Unit of storage, usually abbreviated to GB. 1 gigabyte = 2 to the thirtieth power (2³⁰) bytes = 1,073,741,824 bytes = 1024 megabytes. See also terabyte.

Note: Storage devices sold by manufacturers normally assume 1GB = 1,000 MB = 1,000,000,000 bytes.
