UHDTV
Ultra High Definition Television. An emerging television display standard, set to provide higher picture quality than High Definition TV (HDTV).

UHDTV is anticipated to support resolutions of:

  • 7680 x 4320 (8K)
  • 3840 x 2160 (4K)

as well as providing backwards compatibility with HDTV, so also supporting:

  • 1920 x 1080 (1080p / 1080i)
  • 1280 x 720 (720p)
