.dcr

1. Delphi Component Resource file. Contains resource information for components, such as the icon to display in the palette.

2. Shockwave file. Interactive movie file created using Adobe Director (formerly Macromedia Director), for viewing on-line.

Adobe Director can be used to create a .dcr file from a .dir (Director movie) file together with a .html file so that the movie can be viewed on the web. The .dcr and .html files created will have the same name as the original .dir file. In addition there may be separate cast files (.cxt, .cst or .cct) which contain additional resources for the movie.
