ORA-27102: out of memory

Symptom:

When starting Oracle the following error is produced:

ORA-27102: out of memory
SVR4 Error: 12: Not enough space

Cause:

Oracle is out of memory.

Remedy:

  • Oracle recommends reducing the value for LARGE_POOL_SIZE until the database starts.
