Oracle Troubleshooting
ORA-04030: out of process memory
Symptom:
The Oracle error:
ORA-04030: out of process memory when trying to allocate nnnn
bytes.
Cause:
According to Oracle, this error is caused by the private memory available
to the process becoming exhausted.
Possible remedies:
- If the error was generated from RMAN then try reducing the number
of channels used, e.g. add:
Filesperset 20
