WinSite describes itself as the place for shareware, demo-ware, trial-ware, tips, and utilities for your computer. Unfortunately, the site isn't very well laid out and when reviewed (March 2005) it was less easy to navigate than most of the other shareware sites and software downloads were slow to start.

Site search:	At first glance the search facility is difficult to find - you cannot search from the main page, but have to click the "search winsite".
Provides user feedback:	You can vote for a product and submit a review.
Rating system:	based on user votes. What is a little unusual is that they don't publish a rating until at least 5 people have voted.
Accepts PAD files:	The site says it does, but at the time of reviewing (March 2005) a PAD submission wasn't obvious. A related point is that the site appears to store copies of all software submitted to it, so even if an author makes an update to their software and updates their PAD file accordingly, WinSite will not pick the change up.

No link back needed:	Software authors do not need to provide a link back to the site from their own web site.
