Many Home Pages ...
How do I use it?

Ever wanted to be able to specify more than one home page for your browser? or to be able to open several related pages at once (for example when shopping to compare prices)? Now you can. That is what this page can provide you with - the capability to have multiple home pages.

The Many-Home-Pages page can either be used as a straight replacement for your original home page or as one of your bookmarks/favourites. Every URL listed in the ‘Default’ page group will be opened in a separate window each time this page is opened (or refreshed). Set this page as your home page, or link to it, then when you open the page it will automatically open a separate browser window on each URL that you specify. This is useful if you tend to work with many browser windows open and want to be able to open windows on different URLs as a single operation.

As your browser’s home page

Set the page group to ‘Default’ because this is the group that is selected and opened when this page is first opened. Then add all the URLs that at you want to be opened to the list. Enter each URL on a separate line. Be sure to click ‘Update/Save’ to store your list of pages. Use ‘Test’ to check that the behaviour is what you want and then set this page to be your new home page. Now each time you start your browser a separate window will be opened on each of the URLs that you set.

To open several related pages at once

To open several related pages at once you can follow the same procedure as above as though you were going to set this page as your new home page, but simply bookmark the page instead of setting it as your home page. Then each time you return to this page all the URLs that you specified will be opened in separate pages.

Alternately bookmark this page but, leave the ‘Default’ group empty, so that no pages are opened when you return to this page. Add a new page group (type in the group name, say ‘Shopping’ into the text box between the ‘Add Group’ and ‘Delete Group’ buttons, and then click on ‘Add Group’). Select your new group from the 'Page Group' pull down list, and add your list of URLs as before. Now whenever you return to this page, you can simply select the group you want and then click ‘Open’ to open windows on each of the URLs that you added to that group.
