RDMA

RDMA
Remote Direct Memory Access. A concept where an applications one one computer communicates to an application on another computer by writing directly to the memory on the remote computer.

RDMA offers higher performance than conventional TCP/IP because there is little or no processing overhead required for handling a TCP/IP stack.
