PSU
Power Supply Unit. An electrical device that converts from the mains AC electrical supply into DC voltage (or voltages) required by an electronic device.

A PSU may be internal to the device or external. Typically the larger the device to be powered the more likely that the PSU is internal. For example the PSU in a computer is internal to the computer and may be removed and replaced as a unit, whereas the PSU for an external disk drive is normally a completely separate unit.
