- Point To Point Tunneling Protocol. Point-to-Point Tunneling Protocol is a network
protocol that provides secure transfer of data from a remote client to a server. PPTP
supports multiple network protocols (IP, IPX, and NetBEUI) and can be used for secure,
on-demand, virtual private networking over public and private
networks.
