Out Of Box Experience. Abbreviation refers to the experience and impressions that a user first has when first installing hardware or software fresh out-of-the-box. Out Of Box Experience covers impressions and experiences from (and including) opening the box (or packaging) up until the software or hardware is installed and is working. (It does not include experiences and impressions once the hardware or software product is working.)
