NAT
1. Network Address Translation - translates multiple IP addresses on a private LAN to one public address used on the Internet. This allows (for example) and office to operate within a private IP address range and all appear to share a single IP address to the outside world.
2. Network Address Translator - when applied to a device that sits between two network domains and maps addresses from one network domain to another.
