Instant Messaging
- Instant Messaging
- The facility to send and receive virtually
instantaneous text messages across the internet allowing a text based
conversation in real time. This allows two (or more) people with the same
(or compatible) instant messaging software to type messages to each other.
Commonly it also allows people to see which of their friends are currently
online.
