IAG

IAG
1. Information, Advice and Guidance.

IAG typically refers to a support service in schools and colleges, providing assistance with information and advice on careers, higher education and associated areas. However the term is applicable to a wide sphere, and employers and other organisations may also provide information, advice and guidance (whether or not they call it IAG.)

In this context the ability to provide "information" assumes that the person knows what they want information on, and "advice and guidance" means to be able to receive advice and explore options (normally with an advisor).

2. Immersion Silver Plating. A method of surface plating used in the production of some PCBs.

Immersion Silver Plating is normally abbreviated as IAg.
