FrontPage Server Extensions. A set of programs which run on a web server to extend the capabilities of the web server, to support features that originated from Microsoft FrontPage.

FPSE should be considered to have reached the end of its life. It is supported on all Windows platforms up to and including Windows 2003. A version of FPSE has been released for Windows Vista and 2008, but support for it much beyond that is unlikely.
