Endian

Endian
The order in which bytes are stored in multi-byte data types, either big-endian (high order byte first) or little-endian (low order byte first).

Little-endian/big-endian is normally only an issue when data is exchanged between dissimilar systems for which there is a clear need to agree on byte order.
