DDNS

DDNS
Dynamic DNS. Provides a central (public) database where DNS information can be stored and retrieved. It allows those using a dynamic IP address (i.e. one where it changes each time the computer connects to the internet) to be registered centrally so others can connect to it by name (using standard DNS).
