1. Close of Play. Meaning by the end of. So close of play today means by the end of today.

3. Coefficient of Performance. A unit of measurement for the energy efficiency of heating (or cooling) equipment. Defined as the ratio of the heading (or cooling) output to the energy expended. For example a heat put that generates 3KWs of heating for every 1KW of electricity, would have a coefficient of performance of 3. Similarly an air conditioning unit that removed 2 units of cooling for every 1 unit of electricity would have a coefficient of performance of 2.
