CLS

CLS
1. Common Language Specification. The CLS is a set of rules that defines the minimum core set of .NET constructs that every .NET language (implementation) must support. A component that confirms to the CLS should be usable by components written in other .NET languages.
2. For text based display systems CLS stands for "Clear Screen" and was often the name of the command to clear the screen.
