.tod

JVC video clip file.

A .tod file is a container for an MPEG file (it uses MPEG-2 compression.)

Frequently a .tod file can be played by renaming it .mpg and then opening it as though it were an MPG file - whether this works may depend on the mpg playback software being used. (Since there are different types of MPEG files a .tod file cannot be created by simply renaming a .mpg file.)
