.dxr: Macromedia Director (now Adobe Director) Protected movie file. A Macromedia shockwave file.
A .dxr file is similar to a .dir file in that both define a movie. A .dxr file is protected and not editable and is intended for distribution to other users of Macromedia Director who do not need to be able to edit the movie.
