Microsoft Excel add-in file.

A .xll file is a Microsoft Excel add-in file. This provides additional custom functionality as an add-in in (or extra) for Microsoft Excel. The file is a compiled library file, which may have been developed using almost any development language.

.xll files are used in versions of Excel up to and including Excel 2003. .xll files are not used by later versions of Microsoft Excel.
