The file type .vcf is used by Microsoft Outlook to create a Virtual Business Card. The file typically has a field for: Name, Full Name, Title, Organization, Telephone, Work, Voice; Address of Work, Label-making information, Email preference, Internet (web page), Revision and an END marker. There are several programs that are set up to read a .vcf file. It can also be read with a text editor. Most commonly, a vcf file is part of an email, sent as an attachment. Using Outlook, the file can be added to your contact information.
