- TX Text Control data file. The .tx file extension is used by the TX Text Control, a drop in control which
application developers can use in their own applications to provide word
processing capabilities. A .tx file represents a word processed document
which has been saved using the .tx proprietary format.
TX Text Control can be used to convert .tx files to other more commonly used file types (such as .doc) The .tx file format is proprietary, and the format is not published.
