A .sdb file is a custom or system wide compatibility database found on Windows systems.
Whilst applications may have their own custom compatibility database (typically older applications), there are some system wide .sdb files maintained by Windows:
SysMain.sdb: Holds information and compatibility fixes. AppHelp.sdb: Stores help messages that prompt users for patches, together with the corresponding URL. These files are found in the
%Windir%\AppPatchfolder.
