1. Process Monitor log file. This is a log file generated using Process Monitor, a diagnostic tool for monitoring accesses to the Windows registry, file system and processes.

2. PADGen program information file.

PADGen is a software package used by freeware and shareware developers, which generates a pad file (a .xml file) which contains information about a software package. The format that the pad (.xml) file is generated in allows other websites to pick up the information about the application in a standard format.

The .pml file is an XML file that contains stored information about the application, including its cost, description of the application, operating systems it runs on etc. PADGen also uses .cml files to store information about the company that produces the application.
