.osp file extension

.osp
OpenShot Video Editor project file.

OpenShot Video Editor (or OpenShot for short), is an Open-Source video editor. It is therefore a free video editor.

OpenShot was created in 2008, in an effort to build a free, simple, open source video editor for Linux.

OpenShot boasts an impressive range of features including:

  • Edit video - merge audio and video clips together.
  • Trim and slice - to trim videos.
  • Video effects, including removing backgrounds, adjusting brightness and colours.
  • Unlimited tracks (layers) for combining audio and video.

If you are new to OpenShot then it is worth looking at a tutorial video for an introduction on how to use it to edit video.

Whilst OpenShot boasts that it is easy to use, quick to learn and a powerful video editor (all of which is a justified claim), it also has a reputation for being very slow to save videos.

It is available for Windows, Apple and Linux.

The .osp file is a text editable file, but you wouldn't normally edit this file directly.
