2. CloneCD image file. Contains the main channel data for all tracks of the cd. For every .img file there should be an accompanying .ccd file and .sub file.

If you do not have cd writing software that supports .img files, many people have reported success by simply renaming the .img file to .iso.

4. Erdas Hierarchical Image File format. These files are sometimes denoted with a .aux file extension.

5. LinkSys firmware image file. This file contains the firmware that can be loaded into a LinkSys device such as a router. Firmware upgrades can often be downloaded across the web and then uploaded into a device using the firmware upgrade facility of the device to be upgraded. It is important that firmware upgrades are only applied to the device for which they are intended.
