ESRI Core Product authorization file.

The .ecp ESRI core product authorization file is part of the license management of ESRI products. A .ecp file will be delivered once a product has been registered and it is then used by the ESRI Software Authorization Wizard to authorise the software.

The .ecp file contains:

• Product name
• Version number
• License ID
• Expiration date
• Authentication string

The .ecp ESRI Core Product authorization file is also sometimes referred to as an "ESRI Copy Protection file", "ESRI Product key file" and "ESRI license file".
