FAQ: How to specify the destination directory on the remote server?

To specify a destination directory (under which everything will be copied to) on the remote server:

  1. Open up the site configuration properties for the website, by highlighting the web site in the list of sites and clicking "Config..."
  2. On the "FTP parameters" tab, edit the "FTP upload address" to include the destination directory.

For example, let's say that the ftp address of the server is:

ftp.domain.com

and the desired destination directory is

public_html

For Web Site Publisher version 2.1.0 onwards:

There are separate fields for the FTP server and the folder, so in this case:

FTP server: ftp.domain.com
Publish to folder:public_html

For versions prior to 2.1.0:

Enter as the "FTP upload address":

ftp.domain.com\public_html
